2025 'G9' Cab Sauvignon

G9 is the name of the singular site where we source the fruit from for this wine - it is one of the more exposed, lower, and warmer blocks amongst the Gullyview vineyard. Sitting on deep, rich red clay and limestone soils, it consistently delivers elegance and focus, with fresh, pure fruit and savoury depth - balanced and refined.

The vintage seemed to lend itself to Cab Sav. The warm and dry conditions did not stress the Cabernet vines, they adapted and thrived. The warmer weather created great flavour and concentration early! This year is proof that Cabernet is well suited to the Clare Valley!

Floral, pretty blue fruits on the nose. On the palate, you will first notice the freshness, it then builds and feels out, not in a ripe big way but with flavour and concentration, blueberries, blackberries, with a very slight chocolate character on the back end! The tannins are subtle, savoury and approachable, this wine is great to drink now but each year it is going to evolve and we are excited for the journey!
